Our home in Istria offers the comfort and atmosphere of a restored stone estate, giving us time to truly settle into the region. From this peaceful base, guests may explore hilltop towns, vineyards, olive groves, truffle country, Roman heritage and the coastal beauty of Rovinj and Pula. The experience is shaped by local food, wine, traditions and the people who call Istria home.The second half of the journey takes us to the Adriatic coast, where we board our luxurious floating hotel, M/S Stella Maris. For five nights, the ship becomes our boutique home as we travel through Dalmatia. Instead of repeatedly packing and unpacking, we wake in new harbors and enjoy islands, historic towns, sea views and relaxed evenings aboard. Our route introduces the maritime culture of places such as Vis, Korčula, Hvar, Split and Trogir, with opportunities for walking, swimming, sightseeing and e-bike exploration.Most importantly, this is your vacation. Every included activity is optional. Starting at 10:00 from Hjalteyri, this full-day tour takes us to some of North Iceland’s most iconic landscapes. We begin at the beautiful Goðafoss waterfall before continuing into the volcanic world of Lake Mývatn, with time to explore its dramatic lava formations, geothermal scenery and unique surroundings.Later in the day, we slow things down with a relaxing soak at Earth Lagoon Mývatn, surrounded by the raw volcanic landscape. We then finish with a memorable farm-to-table dinner at Vogafjós Farm Resort before returning to Hjalteyri in the evening.

Travel around the spectacular Troll Peninsula on a full-day journey through some of North Iceland’s most dramatic coastal scenery. September through March is a great time to see aurora borealis ( northern lights ) in Iceland. Theforecast for northern lights is for them to get stronger and stronger over the next 4 years. We arelucky in Iceland to be at the right latitude to get to see them often. We have also chosen these dates specifically when there is a new moon for portion, as full moon will impair the viewing of northern lights. We have a schedule but want to also keep the itinerary open at times if we have to move because of cloud cover. Flexibility is important, and sometimes itinerary is subject to change, according to the northern lights forecast. In our experience Hjalteyri is a good place to be for a few nights, because the area allows us the flexibility to move around.

Three Day Pre-Tour Many athletes, supporters, and members of the international sports community would like to combine their competition experience with the opportunity to discover the country they are visiting. Our three-night Iceland Pre-Tour has been designed to offer an unforgettable introduction to Iceland before the IDFPA Bench Press Championship in Hjalteyri. Guests will explore the famous Golden Circle and the dramatic landscapes of South Iceland, relax in a geothermal pool, and head out in search of the Northern Lights when conditions allow. At the end of the tour, we will travel north to Hjalteyri, where guests will connect seamlessly with the main championship group. Iceland Post-Championship Adventure6 Days / 5 NightsAfter the excitement of the IDFPA Bench Press Championship, join us for an unforgettable journey through some of Iceland’s most remote, dramatic and beautiful regions. This small-group post-tour combines adventure, relaxation and authentic Icelandic experiences as we travel from North Iceland through the wild Strandir coast, West Iceland and the countryside of South Iceland before finishing in Reykjavík.Our journey begins with an Icelandic horse experience and a scenic drive to the peaceful fishing village of Drangsnes. Here, guests can relax in geothermal hot pots beside the ocean while watching the sky for the Northern Lights. We then continue along the rugged coastline to the historic settlement of Djúpavík, one of Iceland’s most atmospheric and isolated destinations, surrounded by mountains, waterfalls and the remains of an old herring factory.From the Westfjords, we travel south to Húsafell for one of the tour’s greatest adventures: a journey onto Langjökull Glacier and into the extraordinary man-made ice tunnels hidden deep inside the glacier.
